Beyond the breakfast bowl, oats can be used in pancakes, muffins, cookies, granola bars, smoothies, muesli and granolas and so much more.

Rolled oats are made from the oat groats that are extracted from the oat grain. Oat grains have a tougher outer hull that is removed, allowing the interior of the grain to be steam treated in order to further soften the grain. Once the oat grains are steamed properly, the grain is run through an oat roller, creating the flat oats.

STOVETOP: Add up to 1 cup boiling water/milk and ½ cup oats and stir until desired consistency is achieved.

MICROWAVE: Add up to 1 cup boiling water/milk and ½ cup instant oats into a bowl. Microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring intermediately.

Add desired ingredients (e.g. cinnamon, honey) and top with your favourite fruits, nuts or seeds!
